Suspect Arrested in Female’s Death at 5612 Cripple Brook Court January 19, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a woman at 5612 Cripple Brook Court about 12 a.m. on April 12, 2009. The suspect, Adam Diaz (H/m, DOB: 9-27-71), is charged with capital murder in the 183rd State District Court. He is accused in the death of Rebecca Ruth Claybrook, 55, of the above address, who suffered severe blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. R. McGalin and J.Brooks and Senior Police Officers T.W. Miller and M. Waters reported: Patrol officers responded to a person down call at 5612 Cripple Brook Court and found Ms. Claybrook deceased inside her residence. An investigation determined there was no forced entry to the home. Further investigation developed information that identified Diaz as the suspect and on Saturday (Jan. 16) he was arrested and admitted to his role in Claybrook’s death.
