Fatal Traffic Accident at 1900 Ansbury

January 04, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 1900 block of Ansbury about 5:45 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 2).

The identity of the male victim, 24, who was pronounced dead at the scene, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. L. Brown and Officer A. Sampson reported:

The victim (driver) and a passenger were traveling eastbound on Ansbury in a gray Pontiac G6 when the driver failed to control his speed, left the roadway and struck a large tree. The driver died at the scene and the passenger was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
