Composite Sketch, Surveillance Photos of Sexual Assault Suspect Released
December 2, 2010 - Investigators in the Houston Police Department Major Offenders Division and Juvenile Sex Crimes Unit are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in a police impersonation and sexual assault of a juvenile in southwest Houston on Nov. 18.
The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and slightly overweight. He was seen driving a dark green or dark blue 2005 Jeep Liberty. A composite sketch and surveillance photos of the wanted suspect and vehicle are attached to this news release.
On Nov. 18, a 15-year-old female was near an entrance gate waiting on her friend to arrive at an apartment complex at 7203 Bellerive. The suspect walked by the juvenile, struck her on the right side of her face, told her he was an undercover police officer and that she was under arrest. He then accused the15-year-old of being in a gang and selling drugs. The suspect drove her to an area near Lee High School, asked her to point out who she bought drugs from and eventually took her to a parking garage at Sharpstown Mall. He then got her out of the vehicle, beat and kicked her, and then sexually assaulted her. The suspect left the scene in his vehicle and the juvenile ran inside Sharpstown Mall for help.
The juvenile told investigators she had seen the suspect a week prior to this incident in a white Dodge Charger. She stated the suspect had approached her and asked if she wanted to work at his club or make videos he produces.
Anyone with information in this case or on the identity of the wanted suspect is urged to contact the HPD Major Offenders Division at 713-308-3100, the Juvenile Sex Crimes Unit at 713-531-5800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
