Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6800 Hanley
August 17, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 6800 Hanley about 12:25 a.m. today.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Brooks and Senior Police Officer M. Waters reported:
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots around midnight in the 6800 block of Hanley. About 15 minutes later, a resident arrived home and found the victim lying in the street and called emergency personnel. The victim was believed to have been shot in the area of 6814 Hanley and then made his way down the driveway to the street where he was found.
