Fatal Shooting at 9550 Long Point
August 17, 2010 - Houston police are investgating the fatal shooting of a man found at 9550 Long Point about 1:50 a.m. today.
The victim, age unknown, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Senior Police Officer E. Castaneda reported:
Patrol officers responded to a report of gunshots and an injured male in the parking lot of the Cornerstone Apartments at the above address. HFD emergency personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased in the parking lot. Further investigation determined the victim was last seen walking from the Los Chinos Sports Bar located near the apartments. He was then shot by an unknown male suspect as he entered the apartment complex.
