Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1100 Langwick
August 9, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a female found at 1100 Langwick about 9:10 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 7).
The victim, Shatavia Anderson, 14, of Houston, suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Bush and Officer C. Sturdivant reported:
Officers responded to a call of a female down in a field. Police and fire department personnel arrived and discovered the female deceased with at least one gunshot wound.
Investigators learned Shatavia was last seen between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. on Saturday when she was walked to the corner of Greens Road and Wayforest by a friend and a relative of the friend. Shatavia crossed Greens Rd. on Wayforest and walked alone to her apartment on Langwick. During that walk, she was confronted by an unknown suspect who shot and robbed her.
