Composite Sketch Released in Males’ Death at 6623 Heffernan April 30, 2010 - Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a male wanted for questioning in the death of a man found at 6623 Heffernan about 1:55 p.m. on April 17. The person of interest is described only as a dark-skinned black male in his 40s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build. He usually carries a large gray or black duffle bag over his shoulder, is usually seen in the Bellfort Avenue and Mykawa Road area and may go by the name of “Bernard.” A composite sketch of the person of interest is attached to this news release.
The victim, Ronald H. Jones, 67, of Houston, suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Senior Police Officer E. Castaneda reported: Mr. Jones friends called his son after they noticed Jones had not been seen all morning. Jones’ son discovered him deceased in a warehouse in which he had been living. At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s) in Jones' death.
