Fatal Traffic Accident at 4100 Broadway April 30, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 4100 block of Broadway about 5:50 a.m. today. The male victim, age unknown, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G.T. Hall and Officer D. Schlichter reported: A green Saturn was traveling south on Broadway and had just passed through the intersection at Dixie Road when the victim, a pedestrian, walked in the road and into the path of the vehicle. The driver swerved, but was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian. The investigation is continuing.
