Fatal Shooting at 7439 Cook Road April 23, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7439 Cook Road about 8:40 p.m. on Thursday (April 22). The victim, age unknown, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science. HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Gunter and J. Harvey reported: The victim arrived at his residence after work and, while walking to the front door, he was confronted and shot by an unknown suspect.
