Fatal Traffic Accident at 700 Travis April 22, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 700 Travis about 10:35 a.m. today. The victim, Joyce Rosalind Levine, 66, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Francois and Office O. Lewis reported: A female was driving a gray Mercedes ML350 eastbound on Rusk with a green light and made a left turn onto Travis. Ms. Levine, a pedestrian, was walking in the crosswalk with a “go” indicator sign. She walked a few feet off the curb and was struck by the Mercedes. The driver stated she did not see Ms. Levine and stopped to assist her after the accident. The driver did not show any signs of impairment.
