Man Sought For Questioning in Fatal Shooting at 3700 Wheeler April 21, 2010 - Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 3700 Wheeler about 1:05 a.m. on Saturday (April 17). Khiry McCullum is being sought as a person of interest in this incident. A photo of McCullum is attached to this news release.
He is also known to drive a green-blue or blue-green 2005 Dodge Magnum with Maryland license plates 2EDH33. One victim, Joshua L. McMackle, 18, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Another male suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle and was treated and released. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Parker, J. Wilson and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported: Several hundred college students were participating in a party at the above address when a fight broke out in the street. Numerous shots were fired and Mr. McMackle was struck in the back. He ran down the street and collapsed in a nearby yard. A second male was also wounded. HPD investigators believe McCullum was present at the time of the fight and would like to speak with him about what happened. At this time, no charges have been filed in this incident.
