Fatal Traffic Accident at 3600 South Freeway April 19, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 3600 block of the South Freeway (State Highway 288 South) about 7:40 p.m. on Saturday (April 17). The male victim, 38, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. His female passenger was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Law and Officer C. Tosso reported: The victim was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle on the entrance ramp to Highway 288 from Hamilton when he lost control while rounding a curve and struck the guardrail. He and the female passenger were thrown from the motorcycle and fell below onto the southbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 59 South).
