Investigation Into Death of Male at 8300 Mykawa Road April 7, 2010 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male at 8300 Mykawa Road about 5 p.m. on Tuesday (April 6). The male victim, 36, fell ill and was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Johnston and Officer D. Gunter reported: While incarcerated at the Houston Police Department Southeast Jail facility, the victim fell ill. He was immediately attended to by jail personnel and Houston Fire Department Emergency personnel before being transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. As is customary in all in-custody deaths, this incident is being investigated by the HPD Homicide and Internal Affairs Divisions.
