Investigation Into Incident at 7201 Hallshire April 1, 2010 - Houston police are investigating an incident in which an infant was seriously injured at 7201 Hallshire about 6 p.m. on Wednesday (March 31). Kamron Deshawn Kelly, three months, suffered bruises around his mouth and other internal injuries. He is in critical condition at Texas Children’s Hospital. Houston Police Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and B. Williams reported: Baby Kamron was transported to LBJ General Hospital by Houston Fire Department personnel, who performed CPR on the infant until they reached the hospital. His injuries, which were consistent with shaken baby syndrome, led hospital officials to contact HPD personnel. Officers arrived and spoke to both the mother and the mother’s boyfriend, 32. The boyfriend admitted that the infant was in his care when the incident occurred and that he “got a little too rough” with the baby because he was crying. The infant was transferred from LBJ Hospital to Texas Children’s Hospital in an attempt to stabilize him. The investigation is continuing. No charges have been filed at this time.
