Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 600 Tidwell

September 14, 2009 - A pedestrian injured in a hit-and-run traffic accident at 600 Tidwell about 10:15 p.m. on Sept. 9 has died from her injuries.

The victim, Louanna Brown, 70, of Houston, was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital on Saturday (Sept. 12).

HPD Vehicular Crimes Sergeant D. Morgan reported:

Ms. Brown was at the intersection of Tidwell and Nordling when she was struck by a red Ford Focus which fled the scene. Brown was taken to the hospital where she later died.
