Fatal Shooting at 9300 Richmond

September 8, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in the 9300 block of Richmond Avenue about 3:45 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 5).

The victim, 54, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D. A. Ferguson and Senior Police Officer T. S. Tyler reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting-in-progress call and found the victim sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.

There are no known witnesses or suspects in this case at this time.
