Suspect Charged, Sought in Fatal Shooting at 13200 Cullen October 27, 2009 - Charges have been filed against two suspects - one of whom is still wanted - in the fatal shooting of a man at 13200 Cullen about 12:15 a.m. on July 15. The wanted suspect, Moses Reed (b/m, DOB: 11-25-91), is charged with capital murder in the 179th State District Court. A juvenile male suspect is in custody and referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on the same charge. Other possible suspects are wanted, but have not yet been identified. The males are accused in the killing of Huu Khanh Phung, 53, of Houston, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L.A. Flores and Senior Police Officer X.E. Avila reported: Witnesses told police a man got out of a minivan and approached Mr. Phung at the intersection of Cullen and Almeda Genoa. Witnesses then reported hearing several gunshots and saw the minivan and Phung’s silver Chevrolet Cobalt head northbound on Cullen. Phung was found lying in the middle of the street. Both the suspects’ and victim’s vehicles have been recovered. Further investigation developed Reed and the juvenile male as two of at least three suspects involved in the incident.
