Fatal Traffic Accident at 7200 Monroe

October 26, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 7200 block of Monroe about 7:15 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 24).

The female victim, 44, a front seat passenger, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Brown and Officer E. Gonzalez reported:

A silver Dodge Neon was traveling southbound in the 7200 block of Monroe when it veered off the roadway, crashed into a concrete overpass and came to rest in the ditch. The two rear seat passengers were transported to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in unknown conditions. A third rear passenger and the driver of the Neon were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in unknown conditions.

The investigation is continuing.
