Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 1509 Mckee

October 22, 2009 - Houston police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a female found at 1509 McKee about 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 21).

The suspect, Keith Allen Kupferer (w/m, DOB: 7-20-89), is charged with murder in the 338th State District Court.

The victim, Patricia Rangel, 16, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the face and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers R.W. Chappell and D.W. Arnold reported:

Ms. Rangel was found shot in the backyard of a vacant residence. It is believed she was shot about 8 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 20). Kupferer, who had a relationship with Rangel, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with her death.
