Fatal Traffic Accident at 11500 Northwest Freeway November 9, 2009 - A fatal traffic accident at 11500 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) feeder road about 1:45 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 7) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury. Four people, including a two-year-old boy who was not in a car seat, were hospitalized for injuries suffered in the crash. The boy was later pronounced dead on Sunday (Nov. 8) at Texas Children’s Hospital. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S.L. Brown and Officer E. Rubio reported: A green Chevrolet C1500 pickup truck was traveling east on the Northwest Freeway feeder road as a white Mercury GM was traveling north on Antoine. Witnesses stated the driver of the Mercury ran the red light, causing the accident. The two-year-old boy was riding in the Mercury. The investigation is continuing. KJS/JFC 11-9-09
