Investigation Into Fatal Shooting at 10522 Beechnut #2421

May 29, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 10522 Beechnut #2421 about 3:05 p.m. on Thursday (May 28).

The victim, Christopher Lynn Haynes, 38, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. M. Cegielski and Officer J. T. Barringer reported:

When Mr. Haynes did not show up for work on Thursday morning, family members went to his apartment and found him deceased. Further investigation determined Haynes was shot at his residence between 11:15 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. Thursday. At this time, the motive for the shooting appears to be robbery.

There are no known witnesses or suspects.
