Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7904 Homestead

May 13, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7904 Homestead about 7:05 p.m. Tuesday (May 12).  

The victim, Tyre Piper, 35, of Houston suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.    

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Rodriguez and J. Barringer reported:

Two males were arguing at a carwash on 7904 Homestead when one of the men pulled a gun and pointed it at the other man.  The second male then produced a gun, shooting and killing the other male.  Two bystanders also suffered non life-threatening injuries when they were shot by stray bullets.  Witnesses state that approximately 16 rounds were fired between the two men.
