Fatal Traffic Accident at 900 North Freeway

May 11, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8109 West Little York about 2:30 a.m. on Monday (May 11). 

A male was pronounced dead on the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carillo and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported: 

A female stated that she was standing on the hotel balcony at 8901 W. Little York when a male drove up to the hotel, got out of his vehicle, walked up to her and drew a gun.  She stated that she began struggling with the man and two occupants in the room next to hers, a male and female, came to her aid.  The female that was aiding was shot in the arm and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.  The male that was aiding also struggled with the man and shot him.  The male that attacked the female was pronounced dead at the scene.
