Fatal Traffic Accident at Hidalgo And Sage

June 8, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at the intersection of Hidalgo and Sage about 2:50 p.m. on Saturday (June 6).  

The victim, Dustin Minick, 20, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. A. Gonzalez and Officer T. Cox reported: 

Mr. Minick was operating a blue Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Hidalgo when he ignored a red light at the intersection of Sage and struck a black Lexus GX47 traveling southbound on Sage.  The driver of the Lexus was not injured. 

The investigation is continuing.
