Victim Identified/Dies in Shooting at 4040 Synott

June 4, 2009 - The victim in the shooting at 4040 Synott about 12:30 a.m. on May 28 has been identified as Dhirubhai Karsaliya, 54, of Sugar Land.  He was pronounced dead May 30 at Ben Taub General Hospital from a gunshot wound to the head.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Griffin and Officer D. Gunter reported:

Mr. Karsaliya was driving his vehicle in the parking lot of the Ashford Point Apartments when he was shot.  He then drove his vehicle into the retaining wall next to the Westpark Tollway.
