Fatal Accident at 9333 Fulton

July 29, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 9333 Fulton about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday (July 28). 

The male victim, 36, a pedestrian, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identification is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant N. A. Perry and Officer D. C. Nguyen reported: 

The victim, a known homeless male, was sleeping in a grassy area at the rear of a repair station behind a parked Chevrolet flatbed wrecker.  The wrecker driver got in his vehicle, reversed and ran over the victim. Further investigation determined the driver did not know the victim was behind the back tires.  The investigation is continuing.
