Charges Filed in Fatal Shooting at 4040 Synott July 27, 2009 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 4040 Synott about 12:30 a.m. on April 8, 2009. The suspect, Xavier Price (b/m, DOB: 6-1-87) is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Dhirubhai Karsaliya, 54, of Sugar Land. Mr. Karsaliya suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital on May 30. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N.T. Ruland and Senior Police Officer B.W. Nabors reported: Mr. Karsaliya was driving his vehicle in the parking lot of the Ashford Point Apartments when he was shot. He then drove his vehicle into the retaining wall next to the Westpark Tollway. Further investigation developed information that identified Price as the suspect in this case and on Friday (July 24) he was arrested.
