Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident at 7700 East Houston

February 2, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 7700 block of East Houston Road about 9:10 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 31). 

The victim, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Morgan and Officer L. Morrison reported: 

According to witnesses, a blue Lincoln Navigator was traveling northbound in the 7700 block of East Houston Road and then struck the victim.  The Navigator then stopped, backed up, drove around the victim and fled the scene in an unknown direction. 

The investigation is continuing.
