Fatal Traffic Accident at 11000 Almeda Road

December 17, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident in the 11000 block of Almeda Road about 3:30 a.m. today.

The identity of the male victim, believed to be in his 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S.R. Sorge and Officer S. Johnson reported:

An unknown vehicle traveling north on Almeda Road struck a male pedestrian and then fled the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

No witnesses were located at the location.
