Fatal Shooting at 1700 Webster

August 31, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1700 Webster about 3:25 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 30).

The identity of the deceased victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler and Officer K. Lopez reported:

Witnesses saw an altercation between the victim and an unidentified male in a private parking lot.  Gunshots were heard, and the victim was found deceased in the parking lot.  He suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

A small, silver, late model, sport utility vehicle was seen leaving the scene, eastbound on Webster.
