Fatal Shooting of Burglary Suspect at 13547 Forest Pines Village August 21, 2009 - The fatal shooting of a male burglary suspect at 13547 Forest Pines Village about 1 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 20) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury. The suspect, 27, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to his next of kin. The male shooter was not injured in this incident. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Semmelrock and Officer J. Rodriguez reported: The victim was inside his residence when he heard a knock on his front door. The victim looked outside his window and did not see anyone, but did hear a loud bang in the back of his home. The victim discovered a male entering through the back door and fired his pistol at the suspect. The suspect fled the residence, but collapsed a short distance away.
