Charges Filed in Infant’s Death at 10813 Lone Brook

August 19, 2009 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a male infant at 10813 Lone Brook Drive about 10:40 a.m. on Feb. 26.

The suspect, Huong Thithanh Ta (A/f, DOB: 3/23/71), is charged with injury to a child in the 232nd State District Court.

The victim, Jayden Ngo, 9 months, was found unresponsive and transported to Texas Children’s Hospital in an unknown condition. Doctor’s pronounced him dead on Feb. 27.
 
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. T. Ruland and Officer B. W. Nabors reported:

Baby Jayden was at a babysitter's house when he reportedly vomited while being fed and then stopped breathing.  The babysitter called 911 and administered CPR until paramedics arrived.  Jayden was taken to the hospital and later died.

Further investigation developed information that identified Ta, Jayden Ngo’s babysitter, as the suspect in this case and on Tuesday (Aug. 18) she was taken into custody.
