Fatal Shooting at 6163 Wilcrest August 17, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and wounding of a man at 6163 Wilcrest about 2:30 a.m. on Monday (Aug. 17). The female victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. The male victim also suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer K. Lopez reported: The male victim was leaving the Love of 1970 Café when got into argument with an unknown male suspect, who was accompanied by the female victim, at the entrance of the café. The suspect shot the male victim twice and he fell to the ground. The female knelt down to give the victim aid when she was also shot twice by the suspect. The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the male victim was transported to the hospital where he is expected to recover from his injuries. The suspect is described as an Asian male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with a round face.
