Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5625 Bissonnet

April 28, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the apparent accidental fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 5625 Bissonnet about 5:30 p.m. on Monday (Apr. 27). 

The victim, 14, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Robles and J. Johnston reported: 

The juvenile victim and his 14-year-old friend were visiting another male at the Grayridge Apartments at 5625 Bissonnet.  The two juveniles were in possession of a shotgun that had been concealed from parents and as they were handling the shotgun, the victim was shot by the 14-year old. 

The investigation is continuing.
