Fatal Shooting at 838 Greens Road

April 27, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 838 Greens Road about 11:10 p.m. Saturday (Apr. 25). 

The victim, a 21 year old male, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Senior Police Officer R. Cervantes reported: 

Patrol officers responded to a call at an apartment complex at 838 Greens Road and found the victim dead.  Witnesses stated that the victim was walking to his apartment when he was approached by a black male suspect.  The suspect and victim began struggling on the front porch of the victim’s apartment, and then the suspect shot the victim one time.  

The suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 25 years of age, six feet to six feet two, medium build and wearing a white tee shirt and dark pants.  He was armed with a pistol.
