Recent Media Report on Illegal Activity by Officer

April 25, 2009 - There has been a recent media report that a Houston police officer is under an internal affairs, proactive investigation by the Houston Police Department for illegal activity, specifically that the officer was stopping illegal immigrants and forcing or taking money from the person.

At this time, the Houston Police Department is not conducting any such investigation of an officer.

If a citizen has information that a police officer is involved in this type of criminal activity, they should immediately report the information to the department’s Internal Affairs Division at 713-308-8900.
