Fatal Traffic Accident at 7200 Southwest Freeway on Feeder Road

April 13, 2009 - Houston Police are investigating the death of a man killed after crashing a car at 7200 South U.S. 59 (Southwest Freeway) Feeder Road about 3 a.m. on Sunday (Apr. 12).

The male victim, 20, died at Ben Taub General Hospital from head and neck injuries.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.  Two passengers were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with head and back injuries.  Their conditions are not known.

Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold reported:

The driver of a blue Chevrolet Cobalt was speeding southbound on the Southwest Freeway Feeder Road when he hit a curb and lost control.  The vehicle flew through the air and hit a car dealership sign. 

The investigation is continuing.
