Fatality Traffic Accident at 11100 North Freeway

September 08, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 11100 block of the North Freeway (Interstate 45 North) about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday (September 6).

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Officer J. Lin reported:

A green Ford Explorer and red Ford Fusion were traveling southbound in the 11100 block of the North Freeway when the victim attempted to cross the southbound lanes of the freeway on foot. The Explorer struck the victim, followed by the Fusion, whose driver could not avoid the victim.

No charges have been filed at this time.
