Infant Death Investigation at 8501 Broadway #1063 October 29, 2008 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an infant found unresponsive at 8501 Broadway #1063 about 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 28). The victim, one-year-old Laci Stewart, was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. P. LeBlanc and Senior Police Officer B. D. Evans reported: HFD paramedics responded to a call of an unresponsive female infant at 8501 Broadway and found baby Laci was not breathing. After several attempts to revive her with no reaction, Laci was transported to the hospital. Further investigation determined baby Laci suffered from a prior medical condition and her death is believed to be from natural causes. No sign of foul play was found and no charges have been filed at this time. |
