Investigation Into Dead Fetus Taken to Hospital

October 27, 2008 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a fetus taken to an area hospital about 5:50 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 26).

The fetus was reported to be 29 weeks through gestation.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.R. McGalin and Officer D.W. Arnold reported:

A female gave birth to the fetus and reported the fetus was already dead when both the female and fetus were taken by private vehicle to Doctor's Hospital at 510 West Tidwell.

The investigation is pending results of the autopsy.
