Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 8080 Creekbend October 21, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 8080 Creekbend about 9:20 p.m. on September 11, 2008. The suspect, Rydell J. Arnolie (b/m, DOB: 4-14-84) is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. He is accused in the shooting of Roger Morris, 27, of Houston, who suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and Kirtrell Morris, 26, also of Houston, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Both men were transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced Kitrell Morris dead on Sept. 16. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. M. Cegielski and Officer B. W. Nabors reported: Roger and Kirtrell Morris were parked in the parking lot of the Mesa Ridge Apartments at 8080 Creekbend when they were approached by an unknown suspect who shot at them several times. Further investigation identified Arnolie as the suspect in this case. On Friday (Oct. 17), he was arrested in the 12100 block of Westpark without incident. Update: VHS/JFC |
