Aggravated Assault Victim Found at 7000 Corporate Dies October 10, 2008 - A man found unresponsive in the 7000 block of Corporate Drive on October 2 has died from his injuries. The victim, 62, suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him dead on Thursday (Oct. 9). His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. C. Padilla and T. Huynh reported: Westside Patrol Division officers responded to a call of a man lying in the grass in an open field next to an apartment complex. Officers found the victim, shirtless and his pants pulled down to his ankles, under a tree in the 700 block of Corporate Drive. A maintenance employee from a nearby apartment complex found the victim and called police. An autopsy will be performed by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
