Two Suspects Identified, Sought in February Kidnapping Incident June 25, 2008 - Houston police homicide investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two suspects identified and wanted for their roles in the kidnapping of a female in the 3800 block of Del Monte on February 28, 2008. Luis Arturo Salcido (H/m, DOB: 4-22-79) and Adam Troy Herrera (H/m, DOB: 7-21-62) are wanted in connection with the kidnapping of a woman who managed to escape from her abductors. She was not injured. In addition to this case, suspects Salcido and Herrera are each wanted on parole violations.
The female victim was walking at about 7 a.m. when she was approached and attacked by two male suspects who forced her into the trunk of a gray, late-model sedan. Moments after being placed in the trunk and while the vehicle was speeding off, the victim was able to unlatch the emergency trunk release and jumped out of the trunk of the moving vehicle. Witnesses heard the vehicle come to a screeching halt and two males get out and start running after the female, who was running and screaming for help. The suspects ended their pursuit when they noticed other people focusing on them. Investigators have identified at least two suspects, Luis Salcido of Magnolia, Texas, and Adam Herrera of Waxahachie, Texas, wanted in this incident and believe there are other unknown suspects involved. It’s believed Salcido and Herrera are somewhere in the state of Texas, possibly in the Laredo area. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two suspects is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to arrests and convictions in this case. JFC/JC |
