Fatal Traffic Accident at 12500 Woodforest

July 14, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 12500 block of Woodforest about 2:50 a.m. last Saturday (July 12).

The victim, Don Coleman, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Morgan and Officer A. Alaniz reported:

Mr. Coleman was driving a maroon Ford Crown Victoria eastbound in the 12500 block of Woodforest at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the center median. The Crown Victoria skidded before rolling over and landing on its top.

Further investigation and a statement by the owner of the Crown Victoria determined Coleman and two other males had taken the Crown Victoria by force.
