Traffic Incident at San Felipe at Potomac January 27, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at the intersection of San Felipe at Potomac about 7 p.m. on Saturday (January 26). The female victim, 82, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she later died. A second male victim, 88, was also transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D. Morgan and Officer B. Banks reported: A tan Lincoln Towncar was westbound on San Felipe when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Potomac and was struck on the passengers side door by a silver Mercedes S550 travelling eastbound on San Felipe, entering the same intersection. The driver and passenger of the Towncar were transported to a local hospital, where the passenger was pronounced dead. The driver of the Mercedes was not injured. The preliminary investigation revealed both drivers had a green light, however, the driver of the Towncar failed to yield the right of way as he turned left.
