Traffic Incident at 12106 Murr Way January 26, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 12106 Murr Way about 11:20 p. m. on Friday (January 25). The male victim, possibly in his mid-thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D.S. Runyan and Officer A. Alaniz reported: The victim was traveling in a 1995 Buick, at a high rate of speed and narrowly avoiding pedestrians when he struck a parked vehicle at the residence and came to a stop inside the garage. Officers responding to the scene observed a fire had started and the victim was inside the vehicle with the accelerator pressed to the floor. Officers were unable to remove the victim from the vehicle due to the flames. The occupants of the residence, a woman and five children, were not injured. The investigation is continuing.
