Fatal Shooting at 4500 North Freeway

December 30, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the apparent suicide of a man found in the 4500 block of the North Freeway (Interstate 45 North) about 6:30 p.m. on December 23.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Bush and Officer J. Johnston reported:

The victim was involved in a traffic accident in the northbound lanes of the 4500 block of the North Freeway.  It was determined he had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.  Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
