Funeral Arrangements for Slain HPD Officer December 09, 2008 - The following arrangements have been made for Houston Police Officer Timothy S. Abernethy, 43, who was killed in the line of duty on Sunday, December 7: Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Klein Champion Funeral Home at 16131 Champions Forest Drive from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11. Officer Abernethy’s immediate family will receive family and friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the Champion Forest Baptist Church at 15555 Stuebner Airline Road at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12. There will not be a burial service. JFC/BDW
