Fatal Traffic Accident at 4300 South Loop East December 09, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 4300 block of the South Loop East (Interstate Highway 610 East) about 5:40 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 8). The male victim, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant N. A. Perry and Officer L. Morrision II reported: According to witnesses, the victim was operating a Honda CRV 600 motorcycle in the 4300 block of the South Loop East at a high rate of speed and going in and out of traffic. The motorcyclist then attempted to pass a gold GMC Envoy on the left shoulder of the freeway, struck the rear left quarter of the vehicle and was ejected from the motorcycle.
