Fatal Traffic Accident at 1100 State Highway 6 December 03, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 1100 block of State Highway 6 and 14800 Brairhills Parkway about 9:45 a.m. today (Nov. 3). The deceased female victim, a passenger, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. C. Francois and Officer S. Boone reported: Witnesses stated the female driver of a maroon Discovery was traveling northbound in the 1100 block of State Highway 6 and was swerving from side-to-side in her lane. A silver Maxima, with the victim as a rear passenger, was waiting at the signal light at the intersection of Briarhill Parkway when the Discovery struck the rear of the Maxima. The Maxima then struck a black Infiniti G35 sedan and a tan Suzuki XL-7 sports utility vehicle. The driver of the Discovery was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in unknown condition. The drivers of the other vehicles involved were transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital with minor injuries. The investigation is continuing. VHS/JC
